New NI government in dispute over languages

Reports from Northern Ireland suggest that the new government there is still unceratin about how best to support the territory's indigenous languages. Culture Minister, Edwin Poots (DUP), is believed to be behind measures to withdraw government support for a new Irish Language Act. Poots has said that the disparity between funding for Irish and Ulster Scots needs to be addressed before further measures are taken to support Irish. Read more at Breaking News Ireland.
