Do more for Scots say Lancaster Researchers

A group of researchers from Lancaster University has called on the Executive to promote positive attitudes (to Scots) in all areas of Scottish society". The researchers, all members of RANSAL (Research Activist Network on Scots at Lancaster University) have asked the Executive to encourage the use of the language in their response to the government's consultation on its draft national languages strategy. The researchers have told the Executive that it should make efforts to end discrimination against Scots speakers and to collect data about the number of people who speak the language.
