School pupil discusses Scots
Dundees Menzieshill High School pupil Andrew Fry talks to Dauvit Horsbroch of the Scots Language Centre. The interview covers the reasons why Andrew is interested in Scots language, why the language does not seem visible in public life, why it can be difficult to speak and why it only seems to be present during the Burns Nicht season. His final year school project is looking at Scots language in the worlds of education, business and politics. He also discusses his hopes for language use in the future, which includes the use of public signs in Scots alongside English.
