Labour Party (Scottish)
The manifesto (vaguely) states that:
“We recognise Scotland’s rich cultural heritage including Gaelic, Scots and Nordic.”
Liberal Democrats (Scottish)
There is no reference to the Scots language in the party manifesto
Scottish Green Party
In a section about supporting cultural diversity, the manifesto states that:
“We support cultural ventures in all the languages of Scotland, including measures to encourage the use of Gaelic, the Scots tongue and the languages of those from minority ethnic backgrounds.”
Scottish National Party
In the final sentence of the ‘A Creative Future’ section of the manifesto, it is stated simply that:
“We will also provide support for the Scots language.”
