Competitions for Learners
There are a number of writing competitions which provide learners with opportunities to practice writing in Scots.
Scottish Book Trust run a monthly ’50-word Fiction’ competition, with categories for learners in Primary and Secondary schools.
The ASLS Young Writers competition, supported by the Robert Burns World Federation, is open to learners in S1 and S2 and encourages participants to submit entries (in prose, of no more than 750 words) in Scots.
