Livonian and Scots event

The Livonian and Scots languages will be coming under the spotlight at a joint event to be held at the Southbank Poetry Library in London on Wednesday 5 December. Livonian, which is a Finnic language spoken in Latvia, and Scots, are both described as endangered or vulnerable languages by UNESCO. Livonian poet and translator Valts Ernsteits and Scots poet Stuart A Paterson will be part of a question and answer session hosted by Poetry Librarian Chris McCabe which begins at 8pm.
The event is free and will be held at Southbank Poetry Library, Level 5, Blue Side, Royal Festival Hall, London.
