ASLS Schools Conference

The Association for Scottish Literary Studies is holding its annual Schools Conference in Room P514, Graham Hills Building, Richmond Street, University of Strathclyde, Glasgow. Registration will begin at 9.45am. The Schools Conference is an important opportunity for teachers who would like to learn more about using and teaching Scottish language and literature in the classroom. Among the speakers will be Dr Morna Fleming (Tynecastle High Scholl) on Robert Henryson in the classroom; Dr Matt McGuire (University of Glasgow) on Contemporary Scottish short stories; a speaker from the Scottish Poetry Library, and Meet the writer: Liz Lochhead. There will also be booksellers, publishers and various academic organisations attending the conference. The fee is 30, which includes tea/coffee and lunch, and booking forms may be downloaded from the ASLS website.
