Scottish Literature Debate

There is currently no secure provison for Scottish Literature to be taught in Scottish schools, though Scottish History now enjoys such a place in the new Curriculum for Excellence. A panel of speakers, consisting of published writer James Robertson, poet Liz Lochhead, and professors Douglas Gifford and Alan Riach, will debate this issue. The Scottish Literature in the Curriculum debate will take place in the Mitchell Library, Glasgow, 7.30-9pm. It is supported by Glasgow University’s Andrew Tannahill Fund for the Furtherance of Scottish Literature.
