The Perth Burns Club is hosting its 9th annual Day of Scottish Life and Culture at The Soutar Theatre, AK Bell Library, York Place, Perth, beginning at 1.30pm. Among the speakers will be broadcaster Lesley Riddoch posing the question "Well, Are the Scots Really Nordic?" and also film director Timothy Neat speaking about Robert Burns and Hamish Henderson and a screening of Neat's film 'The Tree of Liberty'. Tickets cost £6 (including refreshments). In the same venue, at 7.30pm, there will be a traditional Scottish concert by folk duo Gaberlunzie. Tickets are £10.
