The Doric Film Festival, established by Scots Radio director Frieda Morrison, is still open for entries until 1 November. Now in its third year the theme for entries in 2021 will be “Jist Faar I Bide.” The festival, which celebrates the North East dialect of Scots, aka The Doric, will comprise three categories of entries: individuals, schools, and community groups. The sum of £500 will be available to successful entries to help produce a five-minute film in North East Scots to be screened in 2021.
