A new work has recently been published which will no doubt interest students of linguistics. Called Language in Scotland Corpus-based Studies this series of articles had been edited by Wendy Anderson and is available from American publisher Rodopi (ISBN 978-90-420-3718-2).  

Written in English, the work is intended as an up to date study of English, Scots, and Scottish Gaelic, the three languages of Scotland, looking in detail at various linguistic aspects based upon the ever growing corpus, that is, body of texts, now catalogued and made available to researchers.
