Caribbean Conference

The University of Stirling will host a conference about Scotland and the Caribbean, entitled Caribbean Scottish Passages: History, Language and Literature. The conference is currently calling for papers on a variety of subjects including Scots ballad making in the Caribbean, the Caribbean in Scots ballads, Scots and Caribbean song traditions, research on the Scots language in the Caribbean, and the comparison between Caribbean and Scots place names. Any one who would like to contribute a paper should send their title with a 500-word abstract to both gemma.robinson@stir.ac.uk and to carla.sassi@univr.it along with a 2 page CV aswell.
