Mither Tongue
7th October 2010
Dauvit Horsbroch of the Scots Language Centre recently visited Maggie Cruickshank at her 'Mither Tongue' shop in Keith, Banffshire, in the North East of Scotland. Mither Tongue was established by Maggie about 10 years ago and is famous for selling products that use the Scots language, both in its national and regional forms. The shop is also a focal point for Scots language promotion, not only in the Keith area, but far beyond. For example, Maggie Cruickshank has been a leading campaigner for a question on Scots in the Scottish census. Short videos of this visit are now available on the Centre's Youtube pages.
